Sell Autographs Online

List your autographs for free and sell to collectors who are looking for them.

CollectorFish is built for collectors selling to collectors. Listing an autograph is free. You set the price, choose whether to accept offers, and CollectorFish receives 3% of the item price only when it sells. Stripe’s card processing fee is separate and is shown before you list.

Buyers on CollectorFish can also tell you what they want. Before you list, check the Wanted board: a collector may already be hunting for the piece you have.

How to sell an autograph on CollectorFish

  1. 1

    Create a free account

Your email address is never shown to other members.
  2. 2

    Set up payouts

Connect a payout account through Stripe so buyers can pay you.
  3. 3

    Create your listing

Add a clear title, the person who signed, the category, a full description, your price and at least 2 photographs of the actual item.
  4. 4

    Describe authentication honestly

Choose how the autograph was authenticated or obtained, and add a certificate number if there is one.
  5. 5

    Captain’s Review

The CollectorFish team reviews every listing before it’s published. Review checks the listing; it isn’t an authentication of the item.
  6. 6

Ship with tracking and get paid

When it sells, ship within 7 days with tracking. Your payout is released once shipment is confirmed.

What you pay

Nothing to list. Here is the breakdown on an example $100 sale:

Sale price$100.00
CollectorFish fee (3%)−$3.00
Stripe processing feededucted separately
Seller receives$97.00 − Stripe fee

Listings are free. CollectorFish keeps 3% of the item price only when a sale completes. Stripe’s card processing fee (typically 2.9% + 30¢) is separate and comes out of the seller’s share. Payouts go to the seller’s payout account.

Seller responsibilities

  • Only list items you own and have the right to sell.
  • Use photographs of the actual item. Stock or copied photos aren’t allowed.
  • Describe the item and any flaws accurately.
  • Describe authentication accurately. Authentication you enter is shown as seller-provided, unless CollectorFish expressly states otherwise; CollectorFish does not currently authenticate items.
  • Ship with tracking within 7 days of payment. Unshipped orders are refunded to the buyer automatically.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to sell?

Listing is free. When an item sells, CollectorFish receives 3% of the item price. Stripe’s card processing fee is separate. Refunded orders aren’t charged the 3% fee.

Does CollectorFish authenticate my autographs?

No. CollectorFish does not currently authenticate items. You state how the autograph was authenticated or obtained, and it is shown on the listing as “Authentication stated by seller”.

What does seller-provided authentication mean?

It means the authentication details come from you, the seller, and haven’t been verified by CollectorFish. Be accurate: knowingly false authentication claims and counterfeit certificates are prohibited.

Why does my listing need to be reviewed?

Every listing is reviewed before it’s published, and again when you change its title, person, category, description, authentication or photos. A price change alone keeps the listing live.

Can I trade instead of selling?

Yes. You can list an item for trade and review trade proposals. See trading autographs on CollectorFish.

Can’t find the autograph you’re looking for?

Cast a Line: post a free Wanted request and let collectors know what you’re hunting for. If someone has it, they can respond privately.
